Delete Your Account and Data

Excelza is published by MultiMuse Media Inc. This page explains how to delete your Excelza account and the data attached to it, and what happens when you do.

1. Delete your account from inside the app

This is the fastest route, and it is immediate — no request, no waiting on us.

• Open Excelza and sign in
• Go to the Profile tab, then Settings
• Scroll to Delete account
• Confirm when asked

Your account is deleted straight away. This cannot be undone, and signing up again later creates a new, empty account rather than restoring the old one.

2. If you cannot use the app

If you have lost access to your account, or deletion will not complete, email hello@excelza.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request is genuine and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account removes all of the following, permanently:

• Your account and sign-in details — your email address and password hash
• Your profile — display name, username, bio, and profile photo
• Your plans — every project, stage, task, note, and calendar entry, including the AI-generated roadmaps and task walkthroughs
• Your posts — progress updates, "I'm stuck" asks, replies you wrote, and reactions you left
• Your photos — every image you uploaded, whether attached to a post or used as a profile picture
• Your connections — follows in both directions, notifications, and any project invitations you sent or received

Photos are removed from storage first, then the account itself is deleted, which removes everything else attached to it.

4. What is kept, and for how long

We aim to keep nothing that identifies you. In practice, a small amount of data can outlive the account:

• Server and error logs kept by our hosting providers, which can include an IP address, are retained for a limited period and then discarded
• Product analytics events — records that a feature was used, tied to an internal account identifier rather than your name or email. These never contain the words you wrote. If you want these purged as well, say so in your email and we will remove them
• Text already sent to our AI provider to generate a plan is handled under that provider's own retention rules. It is not used to train their models. See the [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy) for detail
• Records we are required by law to keep, or that we need to resolve a dispute, for as long as the law requires

5. Deleting some data without closing your account

Excelza does not currently offer partial deletion. You can delete individual projects, posts and photos yourself inside the app at any time; anything beyond that means deleting the account.
